CAP Open Doors Project Showcase

Community Action Partnerships Open Doors Project was celebrated as part of the Leicestershire County Council innovation Challenge programme 2013-2014 at County Hall last night, where we had a stall to showcase the projects work and an opportunity to showcase a short film alongside a volunteer and service user personal account of their experience within the project.

The project has supported many vulnerable elderly people into new social support groups such as Craft, singing & Music, Scrabble, Bingo, Seated exercise and lunch club, bringing fun friendship and social opportunities to many people.

Community Action Partnership is now seeking applications for new trustees to join its governing board, we are looking for people who have a vision for the role the voluntary sector play in the development of public services across Leicestershire.

Blaby District Community Grants 2014-2015

"Supporting our Big Society"

Community Action Partnership administers a grants programme on behalf of Blaby District Council.

If you are a not-for-profit community group wishing to expand or develop your services in the district, you may be able to apply for a Blaby District Council Community Grant.

The grant programme aims to support as wide a range of community groups as possible to help with expenses such as venue or coach hire, equipment purchase, marketing and promotion, project start-up, capital expenditures and more.

Grants are decided on a quarterly basis. The 2014-15 deadlines for applications are:
