Local People's Programme
After the success of the Christmas Meal and the Party the Local People's Programme did in December and the popularity of the Afternoon Tea that Parklands Primary School put on recently, several people have been asking if the Local People's Programme can do more tea mornings / meals / sociable activities in South Wigston.
The Local People's Programme think this is brilliant idea! So we would like to invite you to join us for a drink at the Old School Coffee Shop at the Bassett St community hub next to the Library to have a chat about what to do next and a general natter! Bring a bit of money to buy yourself a drink, if you'd like one.
Meet in the café space at 11am on Wednesday 11th May and Monday 13th June. It would be lovely to see you there.
If you need help with transport, please call Communty Transport at Community Action Partnership on 0116 278 6604 to see if they can arrange Community Transport for you (depending on location and availability).
We look forward to seeing you!
Jessie Cooke and Dave Cliffe.

Our Community Transport service runs a travelling lunch club, twice a week for residents of Wigston, South Wigston and Oadby. A bus full of happy ladies, and sometimes gents, go out to pubs around Leicestershire, stopping for coffee in the morning or shopping in the afternoon.
Last year we had to put two of our larger minibus for their Christmas lunch as the group is so popular!
Richard Matthew, volunteers his time, and sense of humour, to run the club and makes it a great success! Thank you Richard!
